The cause of his untimely death remains unknown and has thus, left the university in mourning and anticipation.
Both on and off the court, Terrence Butler, a talented 6-foot-7 forward, garnered high regard. Hailing from Maryland, Terrence Butler had an impressive high school career, earning recognition as a Washington Catholic Athletic Conference All-Conference selection and even receiving a nomination for the prestigious McDonald’s All-American honor in 2021.
However, injuries marred Butler’s time at Drexel, limiting his play to just eight games, mainly during his sophomore year, despite his potential. Nevertheless, he managed to showcase his talent and dedication, earning a spot on the Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
Beyond sports, Terrence Butler also involved himself in various activities and organizations on campus, endearing himself to many in the university community. His amiable nature and genuine kindness were evident to everyone who knew him.
